For a change of pace, on Friday we headed off to Villa Borghese, which is what I would imagine is the Roman version of Central Park . 190 acres of parkland on the edge of central Rome dotted with a plethora of museums, cafes, monuments, lakes and even a Zoo. To make it easier to cover the huge area we hired a couple of peddly thingos for the first hour and were able to zip around a fair portion of the estate. This was achieved almost without incident, except for when Darcy almost drove Barb into a fountain.
After this little bit of excitement we opted for some Bernini and Caravaggio at the Galleria Borghese to settle our nerves before heading home.
