This part of the trip has become a little more compressed than we had originally planned due to squeezing in the Zaragoza stopover and our decision to hurry up to Nantes before we became engulfed in any of the transport delays that have resulted from the heavy snowfalls in northern Europe. Consequently we have missed out on San Sebastian and we are only stopping in Bilbao for one night just so we can have a look at the Guggenheim Museum
Frank Gehry’s masterpiece was the last course of our 20th Century architectural feast in northern Spain , before we slipped across the border into France and made our way up to Nantes
